{SUMMARY} The Personal Advocacy Service is an organization that recruits volunteers to be companions with people with intellectual disabilities. The advocates assist in helping people become part of their community, including congregations, and the program as a whole is infused with a spiritual dimension. Experiences of advocates, participants, and parents are briefly described.
