Abstract

Abstract Families who have children with disabilities need to be aware of special problems and special considerations in their estate planning. Government entitlement programs are targeted for rollbacks or outright elimination, and should not be viewed as a substitute for private funding of special needs. This article discusses special needs trusts in the context of the pointed rhetorical question, Who Can You Trust? The author also challenges readers to consider giving a portion of their estate for Church or Church-related ministry.
