| Abstract | Abstract Embodiment theologies have tended to assume a “normal” body, failing to pay attention to particularities such as the experience(s) of disability. Theologian Sallie {McFague's} model of the world as the body of God provides a potentially valuable way for us to consider thoughtfully the nature of God and the world in light of the human experience of limits. By putting {McFague's} work in conversation with experiences of disability, this article shows how theological reflection on disability can strengthen her own argument and can offer new images and possibilities for theological construction. |
