Abstract

Despite that fact that inclusion of students with special educational needs in the general education classroom has become more prevalent, concerns continue about the practice from special educators, regular class teachers, administrators, and parents. This article suggests that serving students who have a disability in inclusive settings is a way to live out justice and embody reconciliation. An understanding of “justice” from a biblical perspective, rather than simply as a legal or philosophical matter, is essential to creating a classroom environment that represents a just community.
